REVIEWING HOME EDUCATION LITERATURE: DOES IT MATTER WHERE WE LEARN?

The last 20 years has seen a global increase in studies investigating various aspects of Home Education (HE) and the physical location learning relation to schooling; outside schooling remains under researched. This paper provides review some, but not all, existing literature, leading us see where there are potentially gaps research as well opportunities for creative methodologies. starts with within context Scottish/UK education history policy. It should be noted that at present very few differences between Scottish Policy from Westminster. Then we move exploration into Capital how Bourdieu’s theories ideas may or apply context. Firstly, this finds is limited body specifically concerned voice home-educated children, who experience live learning, alternative provision; secondly notes number just what means, home educating families, value they place upon spaces schools. cannot assumed because family have chosen educate, decision was entirely ideological.
